Hello Everyone,

My name is Maddie! I am a sophomore in high school fundraising to travel to Japan with the organization, Cinnamongirl Inc. I am beyond grateful to be given the opportunity to travel internationally, especially with other women and adolescents of color.

I enjoy filmmaking and writing and one day hope to be a director and/or screenwriter. During our trip to Japan, I will be filming our journey with video along with documenting our days with a travel journal. I will combine the two into a short film sharing my personal exploration on the trip.

This trip will fully immerse me in Japanese culture. I have always been an admirer of Japanese cuisine, customs, monuments, etc and this is my chance to enjoy it in person. I am especially excited to experience this new adventure with my Cinnamongirl peers. Traveling to Japan with them will provide me with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to build unforgettable bonds and memories. To embark on new adventures with these girls will certainly help create lifelong friendships and stories!

My fundraising goal is $6,000. Every Cinnamongirl is asked to raise money for the cost of the trip. Please, if you can, support my travel efforts by donating! When I return from Japan, I will share with you my short film of our travels.
