Dear family, friends, and generous donors,
I’m back with another wonderful and fantastic opportunity for me to travel overseas and gain more knowledge as well as independence! This year me and my fellow cinnamongirls will be traveling to Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo Japan in mid to late June of 2022. This year we have been handed the responsibility of raising $6,000! Despite the increase in money I am sure that with your help I will be able to get to this goal.
The purpose of our trip to Japan is to discover the relationships between African/African Americans and east Asians, experience Japanese society and culture first hand as well as discover the influence American culture has had on Japan. I’m excited to say this will be my first time traveling overseas and into another continent. To have the chance of traveling with eleven other girls just like me is truly amazing and exhilarating.
A little about me, I am originally from Arizona and moved to the state of North Carolina when I was just ten years old. My hobbies are writing, singing, painting, and listening to music. I really love traveling to see friends and family, and enjoy going on adventures and discovering new places. I am also really into fashion, design and history. I love volunteering and helping the community. Black and female empowerment is one of the things I personally emphasize and I enjoy learning and educating others about these topics.
For those of you who don’t know, this is my second year traveling with Cinnamongirl and I truly hope this trip will be just as fun and inspiring as last years. One way I plan to raise money is through selling my art.
