Hello Beloved Family and Friends,
This is Mariah and I am currently a sophomore in high school and I have been selected as a member of the Cinnamongirl Inc. Travel Cohort. As many of you know, I am passionate about traveling and history. With the assistance of Cinnamongirl’s Travel Cohort, I am being afforded the opportunity to travel to Japan during the summer (June 2022). I am extremely excited to embark on this journey of immersing myself in the Japanese culture, and this opportunity represents the first time I will travel outside of the United States.
In Japan, I anticipate delving deeper into their unique culture and admiring the historical monuments there. I am confident this experience will make great contributions to my continued development and expand my horizons about the broad world I in which I live. Today, Japan is known for their innovative technology. I can’t wait to see all the ways in which Japanese influence is prevalent in America.
Cinnamongirl also extended this extraordinary invitation to my fellow sisters, high school aged girls of color, who are planning to experience the magic of Japan with me. I am confident this will be an experience we will remember for years to come! I am truly exited to embark on this journey with my Cinnamongirl sisters.
I am planning to try popular snacks in Japan that are not offered in America. I am also looking forward to experiencing the cuisine of Japan and trying foods I might enjoy.
To make this trip possible, my goal is to raise $6,000 to cover my expenses. I will be raising the money over the next few months in preparation for my trip. With the help of your donation, I know I can accomplish my goal!
