KonNichiwa, I’m Shunnisha Tate. (That is hello in Japanese) I’ve been a Cinnamongirl for almost two years now, I participated in Cinnamongirl's Write Your Story cohort, but unfortunately because of a huge loss in my family, I had to drop out. Now I have this amazing opportunity and I'm not letting go of this one!
I am 14 years old and a freshman at Twin Oaks Montessori. I am really looking forward to this trip, especially since I have never been out of the country. Because of the sushi, and the sites to see, Japan has been one of my dream vacations since I was 5 years old. Recently, I studied Japanese food in my elective in school. We went to a Japanese restaurant, and that’s when I officially tried my first sushi roll. It was so good, it made me imagine how good sushi would be in Japan. Now, I am planning to actually be in Japan! Wow, is all I can say.
I am so very grateful for this opportunity. Please do whatever you can to help me have this once in a lifetime experience. Whatever you can give will be appreciated, even a small amount will get me a step closer to Japan.
