Hello Friends and Family,

I am so grateful to be a part of the Cinnamongirl organization as they have given me an amazing opportunity to travel to Japan in the summer of 2022! My travels to Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Japan will help expose me to a beautiful culture that I have never experienced. I am so excited for this trip as learning about Japanese culture will help me experience their way of life, traditions, and culture. Japan has been on my bucket list for so long now and I can't wait to learn about their diverse history and see different Japanese arts and architecture in person. My goal is to raise $6,000 to cover all my expenses.

This will be my second year with theTravelgirl cohort of Cinnamongirl. Cinnamongirl provides girls of color opportunities to learn and educate themselves on a variety of things with traveling, writing cohorts and more. Through these experiences, I am confident I will become a well-rounded person who will be able to thrive in diverse environments. As someone who has been with them before, I never would have been able to live my dream of traveling the world without being in this travel program. I get to travel with other girls of color that understand me and I am so excited to make new friendships and experience a new culture in the process of it. This cohort also gives me great mentors to look up to and count on whenever.
