Hello Family and Friends!

My name is Bella Woods. I am fifteen years old and a sophomore in high school. My education and life journey are very important to me. I enjoy learning and seeking opportunities that are enriching and add value to my life and others. I am grateful to have been selected to participate in the 2023 Cinnamongirl Travelgirl cohort for an opportunity to travel to Japan – a destination that I have only dreamed of. However, with your help and support this can be a reality and a dream come true.

A little about me, I am a Bay Area native. I am biracial, African American and Latina. I have many interests and I try to participate in as many activities that I can, particularly those that can allow me to grow and develop. To name a few, I love God, my family, and friends. I have a passion for music, language, history, and culture. I have been playing piano for 10 years. I am also part of my school’s traveling show choir. I aspire to be a music and business entrepreneur and reach many people in the world. I appreciate and value hard work. I have a demanding class schedule including AP Spanish 4, AP Psychology, and World History, to name a few. I enjoy sports and play golf on the varsity team. I am enrolled in the Public Service Academy (PSA) at my high school. I enjoy advocating for our student body and was selected to be my class representative in the PSA. I love and enjoy the visual and performing arts, going to museums, and trying foods from different parts of the world.

I am looking forward to travelling with other Cinnamongirls to Japan, learning, and sharing in this once in a lifetime journey and be able to share it with my community. My hope is to one day support and sponsor future Cinnamongirls to continue making this opportunitypossible for aspiring girls.

To make this trip possible, I need to fundraise $6500. I am asking for your support to make this once in a lifetime opportunity a reality. Your support would mean the world to me and it would be put to great use to cover my expenses including food, hotel, and airfare. This travel opportunity will enable me to learn and experience the richness and diversity of Japanese culture, traditions, and history, firsthand. I will not only make lasting friendships and memories, I will also gain more confidence, independence, and a sense of self awareness and freedom to see other parts of the world.
