Hello my name is Kai --
I’ve been given a unique opportunity to join “Cinnamongirl, a leadership development organization that empowers girls to be the visionaries our world needs”. This summer 9 other Cinnamongirls and I will be traveling to Peru. I am reaching out to you to request your financial assistance to please help me make this once in a lifetime opportunity happen!
But first, let me share with you some additional information about the organization Cinnamongirl. Cinnamongirl was founded in the Bay Area in 2003. By using mentorship and resources, its purpose is to provide young girls of color like me, opportunities and life changing experiences.
I am very excited to go on this trip because I’m looking forward to being part of a completely different culture, cuisine and experience. I will make new friends, practice and improve my Spanish and also see all of the wonders Peru has to offer, including their tropical weather, and destinations like the Amazon rainforest, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
My mother’s love for travel inspires me to go explore the new places, expand my horizons, be more adventurous and see what the world has to offer.
Traveling to Peru will help me begin that adventurous journey! This will be my first trip abroad and my first time flying solo meaning without my parents.
I would like to ask you to support me with a monetary donation. No amount is too small. Donations will be used for all the costs associated with taking this trip. Thank you in advance for your donation.
